Ed Moses

earned his B.A. and M.A. from UCLA. He has received numerous awards, including a National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship and a John Simon Guggenheim Fellowship. Since his debut at the Ferus Gallery in 1958, Moses has had over one hundred solo exhibitions at some of the art world’s most prestigious galleries and museums, including the Los Angeles County Museum of Art and a major retrospective at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles. His work was recently included in the show of Los Angeles Art at the Centre Pompidou in Paris. Moses is represented by Charlotte Jackson Fine Art in Santa Fe, Brian Gross Fine Art in San Francisco, Imago Galleries in Palm Desert, LA Louver in Venice, California and Bobbie Greenfield Gallery and Frank Lloyd Gallery, both in Santa Monica, California.

For almost fifty years, Moses has pursued the beauty and mystery of pure abstraction in his art. In Axe, he imbues a somber black background with a riot of intense color and gesture. The result is truly breathtaking.

The four lithographs and one woodcut come in a beautiful handmade portfolio or can be purchased individually. All proceeds benefit the renowned Frostig Center’s social skills program for children with learning disabilities and
Asperger’s Syndrome.
